This is one of 13 good starts I was able to create during a painting trip to Donegal, Ireland in 2002 that were later completed back at my studio in Pennsylvania.. While we were staying in a converted rectory in Glencolumbcille, two of our planned painting days were complete washouts. Go figure; its Ireland! However, from a south-facing window in a second-floor bathroom, I set up my portable studio and captured the downpour occurring outside. What amazed me most was the intensity of greens showing through all of that rain. |
