I am drawn to vistas, and this is one of the highest in Chester County, PA. The location was a 300 acre working farm complete with farm stand where I could purchase fresh produce after a day of painting.

On this day, I lingered long enough for the accumulating clouds to finally reveal the dual subjects of this painting. The brilliantly lit patch of green just below center is mirrored by an equally illuminated cloud opening above. That implied vertical movement successfully counter balances a rather heavy horizon line.
