After stopping by the side of the road to paint a scene in Unionville, PA , I had the opportunity to meet the owners of the property, who invited me to open the gate and venture in where I eventually viewed this scene. This is horse country, an area that boasts several thousand acres of open land where people can ride for hours without having to jump a fence. What attracted me to this scene was the sweeping left to right movement implied by both the tree line and the road beneath. The red barn to the right feels like a solid period at the end of a subtly colorful and flowing sentence. |
