Allegro is a musical term meaning “in a brisk tempo”, and with these two paintings, I was able to create a crescendo of movement and rhythm within a melody of swift strokes and bold hues.

I have painted this forest a number of times and in many atmospheric conditions. However, of all the seasons I have explored here, autumn is the most challenging due to it’s fleeting nature. In addition to visual meaning in these particular images, the title “allegro” also defines the pace at which I created these, determined to capture the moment before it was gone.
